What Is the Best Time of the Year to Put Your Home on the Market

When it comes time to sell your home you have a lot of decisions to make, not the least of which will be when to put your home on the market. Many first-time sellers go into selling their home blindly without knowing the vital information that will help them sell their home faster and get the best price possible. One of those pieces of vital information is the best time of year to put your home on the real estate market, and it might make the difference between selling your home quickly and waiting several months to get the price you want. Before we discuss the seasons in detail, there are a couple of factors that you should get right before you even decide when to list your home, because without taking care of these issues, you could choose the best possible time of year to sell and still not have any results.

The Condition of Your Home Matters

Remember that you need to ensure your home is in the best condition possible before you list it. If you want to sell your home in three months, you should begin working on it right away. Even if you want to move out in six months, you should start immediately because you want to give buyers the impression of a home that is ready to move into. That means that maintenance and repairs that you have been putting off should be done as soon a possible so that the buyer doesnt have to think about the work that they will have to do if they buy your home. In addition, your home needs to be stripped of your familys identity before you start showing it to potential buyers. That means giving every single surface the white glove treatment, removing personal items and furniture that clutter up a room and possibly even bringing in different furniture to make a room look larger or to accent it better.

Pricing is Very Important Too

If you dont price your home right, it wont matter what time of the year you list your home because buyers arent going to be interested when there are many other competing homes that are priced correctly. Your real estate agent is your best source of information when it comes to pricing. They can tell you what your home is valued at, what similar homes in your area have sold for and which price range is the sweet spot for customers in this market. Remember that if you overprice your home at first, even if you lower the price later, buyers will wonder why the home was on the market so long without selling.

Spring & Fall Season

Spring has traditionally been touted as the best time of year to sell your home, but that is a generalization that might cost you because new market research has shown that your best time of year to sell depends very much on where your home is located. Trulia conducted a study in 2012 that May and June are both great months for peak prices, in general, but if youre in the southern U.S. March and April are the best two months. So, while Spring is general is probably the best time to list your home, you should also include your location in deciding when to list. However, fall is also a great time to list, as prices are at their peak and you can take advantage of the seasonal theme and show off your fall colors.

Summer & Winter Season

Sales tend to be best in spring and fall, but they drop off during the summer. This could be for any number of reasons, but it is important to keep in mind that while not as many homes are sold in the summer that could be a good thing. You will have very little competition if you choose to list in the summer rather than the spring and that could mean that you sell your home more quickly than if you had listed a few months earlier.

Winter is also one of the low points in selling homes. Buyers tend not to want to house hunt during the winter but if you decide to list during the coldest season anyway you can always take advantage of holiday decorating to make your home sell faster and at a better price.

What is Melanin Pigment

What is Melanin Pigment

Melanin pigment is important in other areas of the body, such as the eye and the brain, but it is not known what the melanin pigment does in these areas. Melanin pigment is present in the retina (RET-n-ah), and the area of the retina called the fovea (FOE-vee-ah) does not develop correctly if melanin pigment in not present in the retina during development (see below). The other areas of the retina develop normally whether or not melanin pigment is present. The nerve connections between the retina and the brain are also altered if melanin pigment is not present in the retina during development. The iris has melanin pigment and this makes the iris opaque to light (no light goes through an opaque iris).

A composite melanin pigment in the form of particles comprising a spherical core less than 1 m in diameter, which comprises at least one wax and at least one surfactant, and an outer layer which envelops the core, which comprises at least one compound resulting from the oxidative polymerization of a melanin pigment precursor; and uses of the pigment in powder form or in the form of an aqueous dispersion, in cosmetic compositions, in particular in dye products and/or make-up products and/or care products for keratin substances such as the skin, the hair and the nails.

Melanins are pigments of high molecular weight formed by oxidative polymerization of phenolic or indolic compounds. A number of fungi, including Aspergillus nidulans, produce pigments related or identical to melanin, which are located on cell walls or exist as extracellular polymers. The aim of the present study was to assess the antioxidant activity of synthetic melanin and of the pigment extracted from the mycelium and culture medium after growth of the highly melanized strain (MEL1) from A. nidulans. The ability of the melanin pigment to scavenge the oxidants HOCI and H_2O_2 was evaluated by inhibition of the oxidation of 5-thio-2-nitrobenzoic acid (TNB) using several melanin concentrations.

Melanins have very diverse roles and functions in various organisms. A form of eumelanin makes up the ink used by Cuttlefish as a defence mechanism against predators. Melanins also protect microorganisms, such as bacteria and fungi, against stresses that involve cell damage by solar UV radiation or generation of reactive oxygen species. These include high temperature as well as chemical (e.g. heavy metals and oxidizing agents), and biochemical (e.g., host defenses against invading microbes) stresses. Therefore, in many pathogenic microbes (for example, in Cryptococcus neoformans, a fungus) melanins appear to play important roles in virulence and pathogenicity by protecting the microbe against immune responses of its host.

Melanin Pigment a spreading and frequently recurring cancer of specialized skin cells (melanocytes) that produce the protective skin-darkening pigment melanin. In the United States melanoma represents less than 5 percent of all cases of skin cancer, yet it is responsible for nearly three-quarters of all skin cancer deaths and is increasing in frequency. Unlike other skin growths, melanoma is always malignant.

A composite melanin pigment according to claim 18, wherein said at least one nonionic amphiphilic compound with a long polar head is selected from: polyalkoxylated and polyglycerolated fatty acids and amides, polyalkoxylated and polyglycerolated fatty acid esters of polyols, polyalkoxylated and polyglycerolated alkylphenols and fatty alcohols, polyalkoxylated and polyglycerolated 1,2- and 1,3-alkanediols and -alkenediols, dodecyl thioethers of polyacrylamide, alkoxylated of fatty acids, and fatty alcohols of lanolin, said at least one nonionic amphiphilic compound containing at least 50 polar or hydrophilic units constituting the polar head.

What Is Low Blood Pressure

What Is Low Blood Pressure

Elderly people are prone to orthostatic hypotension - temporary low blood pressure and dizziness when they rise suddenly from a reclining or sitting position. Because the ageing sympathetic nervous system does not respond as quickly as it once did to postural changes, blood pools briefly in the lower limbs, reducing blood pressure and consequently blood delivery to the brain. Fainting may occur accompanied by paleness, a weak pulse, and dilated pupils. Making postural changes slowly to give the nervous system time to adjust usually prevents this problem. People taking hypotensive medication may also experience problems.

Chronic hypotension may hint at poor nutrition, because the poorly nourished are often anaemic and have inadequate levels of blood proteins. Because blood viscosity is low, blood pressure is also lower than normal. The blood vessel walls of a person with hypotension are usually very relaxed and possibly flabby or stretched. Few nutrients can reach body tissues from this condition. A light-headedness occurs, the body aches and restless sleep are normal patterns but for a correct assessment use a blood pressure gauge. Other symptoms include fatigue, lack of endurance, sensitivity to heat and cold, development of a rapid pulse on exertion, and little interest in sex. The individual requires more sleep than normal people. Chronic hypotension may warn of Addison's disease (inadequate adrenal cortex function), hypothyroidism, hypoglycaemia, anaemia, or severe tissue wasting.

Acute hypotension is one of the most important signs of circulatory shock and a threat to patients undergoing surgery and those in intensive care units. Can result from severe haemorrhage, burns, gastroenteritis, or dehydration.

Too little Sodium has been purported to cause low blood pressure. Symptoms of Sodium deficiency include leg cramps at night, apathy, low energy, constipation, aching joints and muscles, dizziness and vomiting. Excessive amounts of salt may be excreted because of an undersupply of Vitamin B5. Low blood pressure can occur with a drop in Iron and Magnesium levels in the body, combined with stress. Mild deficiencies of calories, protein, or Vitamins C and B complex (especially B5) have produced low blood pressure.

Adrenal exhaustion is commonly associated with hypotension.

There are 2 parts to the adrenal glands - the cortex and the medulla. The adrenal cortex helps to maintain salt and water balance in the body. The medulla of the adrenal gland produces the hormone epinephrine, also called adrenaline, when the body is under stress. The functioning ability of the adrenal glands is most often impaired due to excessive use of cortisone & steroid treatment for disorders such as arthritis, eczema and asthma. Long term use of cortisone drugs causes the adrenal gland to shrink in size. Adrenal cortical failure is also caused by pituitary disease and tuberculosis. In conditions of stress, they can shrink and become smaller or when they are overworked, they can become 4 times larger. The adrenals can become damaged from continuous stress, which goes beyond their ability to recover from, before the next stressful period comes along.

People with adrenal insufficiency are the type who usually lead fairly stressful lives. If they also worry a lot, are fatigued or if they do not eat well and have low nutritional levels, these poor glands will not be able to cope. The profile of a person with under active adrenals includes a person who is meticulous in their work. They tend to be perfectionists who often drive themselves to exhaustion, since they are unable to relax easily. Sluggishness and a lack of concentration can occur just before lunch when their blood sugar level is low. Severe personality and emotional changes can occur, but in most cases these are reversible. The skin on these people may be thickened and their nails may be brittle. Their blood pressure is usually low or subnormal - 105/60 or less. As well as this, these people can be the ones who get swollen ankles, which are worse in the afternoon and at night, that then return to normal after a good nights sleep. Other symptoms found in 75% of people with adrenal insufficiency include fatigue, nervousness and irritability, feelings of depression, muscle weakness, light headedness and headaches, cravings for salt, PMT, allergies, sparse body hair, poor memory, confused states, feelings of frustration, fears and an intolerance to alcohol.

Your diet is essential to support your adrenal glands and feel better. It is vital that people who suffer from adrenal problems stick to a strict dietary regime that eliminates rapidly absorbed carbohydrates and sugars. This includes sweets, cakes and biscuits and foods made from white flour. Eating these causes a sudden rise in blood sugar, with a subsequent sudden drop. Small meals that are correctly combined, as well as small snacks of nuts (almonds) between meals is advisable. This will help to prevent the drop in the blood sugar levels, which occur two to three hours after eating. A protein deficient diet, with emphasis on simple carbohydrates, especially refined sugars, depletes adrenal function and fails to restore adequate nutritional support to these glands.

In order to keep the adrenal glands functioning properly stress and stimulants such as coffee, tea, and chocolate must be avoided. Continuous and prolonged stress from troubled marriages, bad job conditions, illness or feelings of low esteem or loneliness can be detrimental to the adrenal glands. Because the adrenals must work harder under stressful situations, continuous stress will impair their functioning ability. Poor nutritional habits, smoking, stimulants, alcohol and drug abuse can also contribute to adrenal failure.

Avoid alcohol, caffeine and tobacco, as these substances are highly toxic to the adrenal and other glands. Stay away from fats, fried foods, ham, pork, highly processed foods, soft drinks, sugar, white flour and refined salt. These foods put un-necessary stress on the adrenals. Consume plenty of fresh vegetables - particularly green, leafy ones. Brown rice, legumes, olive and safflower oils, nuts, seeds, wheat germ and whole grains are healthy additions to the diet. Eat deep water fish such as salmon and tuna - at least 3 times a week.

B complex vitamins are essential, but especially Vitamin B5 or Pantothenic acid. 100mg of the B vitamins should be taken twice a day. Mega B or Vitamin B complex 100 are some of the strongest B complex we have found on the market, containing 100mg of most of the B vitamins per capsule.

A correctly combined Magnesium Supplement is an essential addition for anyone who has adrenal problems. Radiance Magnesium Complex is a good choice. The amino acid L- Tyrosine aids adrenal function and helps relieve the excess stress put on these glands.

Vitamin C, plus Bioflavonoids, are essential for a healthy functioning of the adrenals. Between 4,000-10,000mg has been used daily, split into many small does throughout the day. We use the Mega C Powder or Vitamin C with Bioflavonoids powder and put this into a drink bottle and drink this throughout the day.

Adrenal Formula is a herbal combination that provides support to the adrenal gland. It has been designed to tone and strengthen adrenal function. It provides herbs that help the body cope better during stress, improving circulation, soothing irritated tissue and restoring a balanced hormonal output.

We have found that just by improving the diet - to one that is high in protein and lower in carbohydrates, has helped dramatically with adrenal problems. Ideally eat every 2 hours throughout the day. Strive for no less than 20 grams of actual protein per meal. Most packaged foods have a nutritional panel on the back, which will give you an idea of the amount of ACTUAL protein contained in the product. In a "nut shell", protein is anything that comes from an animal (meat, fish, eggs, dairy products) also nuts and seeds and soy products. As an example of portion size, 1 x 85 gram tin of tuna meat, provides approximately 25 grams of actual protein.

According to Chinese medical tradition, low blood pressure is caused by Deficient qi in the circulatory system. Symptoms may be alleviated by Ginseng and Chinese Angelica. Broom is useful for treating low blood pressure, as it tones the arteries. Ginger, Hawthorn, and Rosemary will also be useful as they are stimulating and work to encourage circulation.

Hyssop essential oil has hypertensive properties, making it useful in the treatment of low blood pressure, and has a general tonic effect on circulation. It also helps to relieve fatigue, and increase alertness. Refreshing Rosemary essential oil is a circulation stimulant, excellent for low blood pressure and poor circulation. It also relieves stress related disorders, mental exhaustion, and promotes mental clarity. Regular massage with oils of Black Pepper, Lemon, Sage, or Rosemary which stimulate and warm will be useful.

Homoeopathic treatment would be constitutional, but the following remedies may help if you have a tendency to faint. Veratrum is for fainting caused by anger. Coffea is for fainting brought on by excitement. Ignatia is for fainting caused by an emotional shock or trauma. Aconite is for fainting caused by fright, and characterised by tension and pale, clammy skin. Cocculus, when caused by lack of sleep. Gelsemium, when you feel weak and shaky.

Nutritional and Herbal support for Low Blood Pressure includes:

Multi-Vite - A formulation by Leanne James. One a day Multivitamin, formulated with New Zealanders in mind, taking into account our soil depletion of low Zinc, Boron & Selenium. Using the most absorbable forms of minerals available & 25mg of most B Vitamins.

Adrenal Support - A well combined supplement specifically to support proper adrenal function. Provides herbs that help the body cope better during stress, improving circulation, soothing irritated tissue and restoring a balanced hormonal output.

Multivital - Multivital contains 15 specialised herbs and is a totally herbal multi vitamin. Great tonic. Assists when stressed, helps build stamina, assists in the maintenance of peripheral circulation, acts as a liver tonic and aids digestion.

Womens Iron Complex - A high potency, readily absorbed Iron Complex containing Iron bisglycinate, Vitamin C, Folic acid, Vitamin B12, as well as 100mg of the herbs Dong Quai and Red Raspberry leaf. Contains 27mg of elemental Iron per tablet. Ideal for Iron deficiency & anaemia.

Hawthorn berries - Hawthorn possesses a unique balancing effect on the heart and circulation, thus qualifying it as a reliable support tonic in cardiovascular care. Several recent German studies verify that Hawthorn will increase coronary circulation by dilating coronary vessels and strengthen heart and muscle tissue. It also contains components which have been shown to improve tone and elasticity of arteries and veins making it useful for hypotension.

Bio-Optimised Whey - This product is an excellent source of quality bio-available protein, that has one of the highest absorption ratios (able to be used by the body). Provides a complex array of essential building block amino acids, including BCAA's & L-Glutamine.

Some interesting points on Low Blood Pressure:

Adrenal gland function self test: The normal systolic blood pressure (the higher number of the reading - 120/80) is approximately 10mm higher when you are standing than when you are lying down. To test adrenal function, take and compare two blood pressure readings - one while lying down and one while standing. Rest for 5 minutes in the recumbent position (lying down) before taking the reading. Stand up and immediately take the blood pressure again. If the blood pressure is lower after standing, suspect reduced adrenal gland function. The degree to which the blood pressure drops while standing is often proportionate to the degree of the hypoadrenalism.

The main cause of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or CFS (also known as ME or Tapanui Flu) appears to be long term stress combined with an inadequate diet and lack of restful sleep. Some doctors believe this disorder is nature's way of enforcing rest when we burn the candle at both ends. It is reported to be notoriously hard to cure quickly, but a combination of a nutritious diet, peaceful lifestyle, and patience seems to work in most cases. Nevertheless, in a 1995 study of 23 sufferers at John Hopkins University it was found that 22 of them had lower than normal blood pressure, they therefore decided to put them on a high salt diet. 19 of the sufferers agreed to do this. The result was that 9 were completely cured and all of the others improved in varying degrees.

What Is Included In a Basic Background Check

What Is Included In a Basic Background Check

In the not-too-distant past, people were raised and spent their lives in small towns or localized city neighborhoods, often living among the same neighbors for all or most of their lives. Everyone knew his or her neighbors, and that personal intimacy lasted a lifetime. Today's world however, is highly mobile. Few people live in the same locale for very long, and so many of our interpersonal relationships grow out of cyberspace where a person can become anyone they wish to be. In such a transient society, trust is no longer a matter of faith, but often must be verified, especially in matters of the workplace, business and personal relationships, and property rental.

Background investigations are performed for business or personal reasons, and the depth and breadth of information available can often make the difference between success and failure in a variety of relationships. The reality of 21st century interpersonal relationships requires informed decisions to enable the protection of companies, employees, families, property or investments.

Business background checks are most often performed when hiring employees, managing rental property, conducting business with other companies, investing in a business venture or attempting to collect on a business debt. Personal background checks are essential when an individual is going to be given access to one's home or property as a result of performing a service or being hired as an employee.

The unprecedented access to technology enables people to either steal or manufacture identities with great ease. Therefore it is essential to utilize background checks, gleaning as much information as possible to confirm an individual's identity before becoming involved with them. The old expression "it is better to err on the side of caution" has more meaning today than ever in the past.

The steps shown below provide the procedural basis for conducting background checks, whether for business or personal use. However, keep in mind that when conducting a business background check, most often there is a signed application permission form that enables access to certain specific records that otherwise cannot be accessed.

STEP 1 - GATHER INFORMATION - POSITIVE ID

The first goal of any background check is to obtain a positive identification of the subject in question. The important preliminary information needed includes full name, date of birth, social security number and a current or past address.

Date of birth is a very important identifier and necessary to search criminal records. Current and past addresses are also good identifiers, because to conduct a thorough criminal records search, you must ascertain subject's state(s) of residence.

When dealing with female subjects, remember to learn if the individual is married or single, and ask for all last names used, both past and present. This can be an important factor when checking general and criminal record files.

Public records are generally indexed by name alone, or by name and date of birth.

INFORMATION PROVIDERS

When using an information provider, determine what data is being accessed. Some background checks are national in scope while others are actually "multi-state." The costs, response times and quality of these checks vary widely from company to company. Criminal Background Checks are generally name-based and often only access convictions, but not arrests.

Consider having a check done on oneself if concerned about incorrect information or what potential employers might find.

What is Holistic Fitness

What is Holistic Fitness

Holistic fitness is a term that I have furthered and developed over the past 10 years or so with my own work, to identify the difference between exercising the body just for physical purposes or appearance, and the more integrated, multi-dimensional view that takes into account the different dimensions of what it means to be fit and healthy.

When I think of what it means to have a healthy, fit body, I ask are you able to function and do all of the things you want to do in life, with relative ease, fluidity, and pain free?
Is your body flexible, strong, and full of vitality? Do you have the energy you require to meet lifes daily tasks? Do you feel good, both internally, and externally?

When it comes down to defining what it truly means to be fit..at the end of the day, it isnt just about having a chiseled abdominal 6-pack folks! Delete those misleading infomercials from your mind for there are very few out there that preach the truth of the matter. One has to consider all of the necessary dimensions emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, and physically, to encounter what it truly means to be holistically fit and healthy.

Well focus on just a couple of these in this article, and in future articles, look at the key point that allows the fitness wheel to keep turning and burning for you.

What I find to be the synthesizing point that holds all of these together is the spiritual component, because our connection to our source (or our highest self) is in direction relation to our ability to be able to LISTEN to our own bodies, with the intuitive gift we are all given.

It comes down to this when your body tells you what it needs, do you listen and respond? Have you developed the awareness and consciousness with which to pay attention to the cues? Your body is a wonderful vehicle, perfectly designed to shuttle you effectively through life, if you cooperate with it, take great care of it, and refuse to abuse it! You must become skilled at cooperating with the information your body sends you, if you want to most easily and effectively meet with optimal fitness for yourself.

If we had to make it through an entire lifetime with just one car we would most likely be very cautious and thoughtful with its maintenance right? We would pay great attention to protecting and preserving it.

If we listen equally attentively to our bodys signals, we can effectively get in sync with what our bodies need to achieve harmony of health/fitness at any given time.
For example if you are experiencing a lot of muscular tightness would it make sense to go crank out some more heavy weight lifting sets or to take a yoga class? Similarly, if youre exhausted, know your limits and make the choices that shows you respect and love yourself give it some rest, or a massage, or some healthy food to assist the restoration and rejuvenation process, instead of participating in any sort of breakdown type activities.

Holistic fitness, to me, really can be that simple.listen to your body, respond accordingly, and youre there! Use that intuition and trust it! Your bodies are very wise please dont forget that!

Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding this article, or any holistic fitness related topics. In upcoming articles, I will expand on some of the themes and ideas Ive introduced here, so come back for more!

Yours in fitness,
Andrew

What Exactly Is Considered A Light Meal For Upset Stomachs

What Exactly Is Considered A Light Meal For Upset Stomachs

Getting an upset stomach is no pleasant thing for anyone, and though eating may be one of the last things on your mind when you are experiencing nausea, its still important to nourish your body. So what exactly should a person ingest that won't make the symptoms worse?

One of the most vital things to remember when it comes to eating when you have an nausea, is what not to eat. It is always best to avoid all foods that are particularly greasy or sweet, and especially fried foods.

Bear in mind dehydration is always a concern when it comes to illness, whether the illness is the common cold or flu, or due to some other medical issue, but especially if your upset stomach involves vomiting or diarrhea. Staying hydrated is crucial because your body needs fluids to help flush out waste, bacteria or viruses that may be causing your upset stomach. Water, hot teas, and sports drinks can be choices, but if your nausea comes in conjection with any other symptoms that make it difficult to drink (such as a sore throat), popsicles are also a good way to keep hydrated without drinking fluids.

Teas are an especially great option, especially if you use herbal knowledge to brew varities that have properties to soothe an upset stomach. Fennel and ginger are great choices, because fennel is a natural remedy for gas and stomach cramps, and ginger is a fabulous natural remedy to calm upset stomachs. Mint, cinnamon, and thyme also make great teas because they help move wastes out of the system. Of course, the warmth of the teas is always a welcome and comforting element. It is noteworthy that modern ginger ale has little, to no actual ginger in it, so unless you just enjoy drinking it when you're ill, it really isn't helping in this respect. However, the carbonation in modern ginger ale, and other sodas, is sometimes relaxing, so they might be a good choice provided they are non-caffeinated, as caffeine exaberbate an upset your stomach even more.

Solid foods can be difficult to chose from but options like clear soups, plain broths, or chicken noodle are always a good choice. Not only are they gentle on the system, but they're comforting, and help keep you feeling warm, even if you have a fever with your upset stomach. Other bland foods like apple sauce, watery jello in liquid form, oatmeal, bananas, saltine crackers, rice or boiled chicken are all unlikely to aggravate an upset stomach, so they are good foods to try.

If you find that the liquids or foods do not stay down, try a few ice chips in your mouth. Attempt more liquids and food in an hour or so again. There may be anti-nausea syrups you can try as well, found in over the counter, in your local drugstore. One such type syrup is actually a cola syrup.

Since everyone's body is different, what constitutes a good light meal, for your upset stomach might not set well for someone else. Because of this, it's important to trust your instincts, when it comes to any suggestions. It's also important to get plenty of rest and sleep while you are recovering, as your body is working hard to overcome.

What Does Wheat Protein Do For Hair Loss In Men

What Does Wheat Protein Do For Hair Loss In Men

When a group of 30+ aged guys get together and talk, the most commonly discussed topic would be hair loss. A research says that 85 of men will experience hair loss or thinning of hair before they are 50. This article will discuss common reasons for hair fall, break few myths about it and talk about using wheat protein to prevent hair fall effectively.
The hair growth cycle
All hair strands go through something called a growth cycle. There are 4 phases to it.
Anagen
Anagen is called the growth phase. It lasts anywhere from 2 years to 7 years. The longer this phase is, the stronger will be the hair strands.
Catagen
Also called as the regression phase, this is the time when the hair follicle shrinks and detaches/removes itself from the dermal papilla (the extension of the dermis layer into the epidermis). It can last for up to 10 days.
Telogen
Telogen is usually referred to as the resting phase. Any day, around 10-15 percentage of the hair strands are in this phase. When hair gets into this phase, new hairs are already getting ready in the growth phase.
Exogen
Hair shedding or hair loss is the final stage. When hair is lost, new hairs are replaced in the initial or anaphase stage. For a normal adult, losing up to a 100 hair strands a day is considered normal.
What causes hair loss?
Due to different reasons, the length of the anaphase reduces. If this reduces, the hairs that grow are weaker and get damaged easily. There are a lot of chances for them to break or shed off. Also, when hair strands enter the last phase earlier than the normal cycle, then more hair sheds off than usual resulting in hair fall.
In simple words, if the new hairs that develop are weaker and lesser in number than the hair strands that fall every day, one will start noticing hair fall.
There are so many reasons proven to cause hair fall. Few common ones are:
Heredity
Conditions like male pattern baldness
Lack of proteins in diet
Over styling using heat products like blow dryers and straightners
Using harsh chemicals on hair
Smoking
Ageing
Stress mental and physical
Using tight helmets that increase hair tension and result in breakage
Treating male hair loss
In the initial stages few life style changes and using good treatment products can prevent hair loss and reverse the condition.
Hot oil massages help nourish the scalp and hair and are advised to be taken a couple of times a month. It is also recommended to use helmets that are the right fit while riding bikes. Including a lot of healthy, nutritious food is also another great option to prevent hair loss.
Using gentle hair cleansers, washing hair regularly, sleeping for a good 7-8 hours a day and keeping one self stress free are all healthy practices to be followed.
Hydrolyzed wheat protein for hair loss
Recently, dermatologists have found out the benefits of using hydrolyzed wheat proteins directly on hair to prevent hair damage. While it has been long determined the benefits of proteins in diet, this technique has proven equally effective for preventing hair damage.
What are hydrolyzed wheat proteins?
Hydrolyzed proteins are those that are processed and broken down into their respective amino acids. By breaking them down, it becomes easier for the system to absorb the goodness of the proteins, thereby increasing its effectiveness.
The protein molecules are derived from wheat and are small enough to be absorbed by each hair strand. They nourish and strengthen the hair strands from within.
How to use hydrolyzed proteins for hair loss?
Since it is difficult to find hydrolyzed proteins directly, it is easier to use them as hair products available readily in the market. One popular hair care product with these broken up proteins is Zycafy-M. Designed specifically for men, this product can be used by all adults to control hair loss and increase the hair growth cycle.
Caffeine for hair
Zycafy M also contains caffeine which is right now very popular to control hair loss. Caffeine is the common ingredient in coffee. Like how coffee can kick start ones day and energize the brain, caffeine in such hair products are known to activate the hair growth cycle and promote faster growth of hair.
Biotin
Biotin is one of the B-complex Vitamins that help keep the body, skin, hair and nervous system healthy and active. Biotin nourishes the hair, strengthens it and prevents hair fall and hair damage. Biotin is yet another active ingredient in this shampoo.
Using Zycafy-M
Zycafy can be used like any regular shampoo. A small quantity needs to be taken in the palms and applied all over the wet scalp. It has to left on for 2-3 minutes to ensure it is absorbed by the scalp. After this, the scalp and hair can be washed with normal running water and the whole process needs to be repeated again. The shampoo can be used a couple of times a week or every time one shampoos.
The shampoo works on FADDA technology to ensure the product is absorbed better by the scalp. The active ingredients are absorbed within 2-3 minutes of application.
Zycafe-M can replace ones usual hair care shampoo as it also nourishes, cleans and improves the hair structure along with protecting it and controlling hair loss.
Buying the shampoo online
While Zycafy is available in big drug stores around India, it can be bought online with just a click of a button. Most websites deliver the product for free to the doorsteps all over India and this option can be utilized to the customers benefit.
A 250 gram bottle will cost INR 950 and will last for a long time. For people who think this is costly, the cost of hair replacement processes run to lakhs! It is always better to spend less and treat hair fall early.
Testing for allergy
All skin care products need to be tested for allergies before using them. This is because they are a combination of a lot of ingredients and even if one amongst them causes allergies, then that becomes a problem. Using a small quantity of the product on one area of the skin and waiting for 24 hours to check if there are no issues saves a lot of trouble and doctor fee. This is not just for Zycafy. The process needs to be followed for every new product one tries on hair or skin.

What Can Small Business Owners Learn from the Lean Startup Concept

What Can Small Business Owners Learn from the Lean Startup Concept

The Lean Startup methodology is not a new concept in the startup world, but it just might be for some small businesses. The idea was first introduced by Eric Ries in his book The Lean Startup, and now these methods are taught in entrepreneurship courses at universities and startup mentorship programs nationwide.

So what's the Lean Startup all about? According to the Harvard Business Review, at its core, Lean Startup methodology favors experimentation over elaborate planning. It values customer feedback over intuition. And it focuses on iterative design (changing and refining a design over time) rather than traditional big design up front development. The goal of applying Lean Startup methodology to your business is to eliminate waste and learn whether your idea will work in the real world with customers before spending all of your money on it.

At ezClocker, theyve benefited tremendously from implementing Lean Startup concepts, like focusing on a small set of features and developing a product that people will use to run their businesses every day.

But how do Lean Startup methods apply to non-tech small business owners? How would these ideas be used in consulting, fitness, or retail businesses?

In any business there are risks involved when you introduce a new concept to market, so to help mitigate these risks, you need to test your idea first. Most importantly, you need to prove that its valid and that people will actually take money out of their wallets to pay you for it.

Here are a couple of Lean Startup methods that can help small business owners:

Create a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)

The purpose of creating an MVP is to test whether or not an idea will work before building a finished product, writing a 30-page business plan, or opening a store. The goal is to learn the answers to these basic questions: Will people use it? Do they need it? And most importantly, will they buy it? Because as we all know, people vote with their wallets.

For example, if you wanted to open a bakery, you might create sample cakes and sell them at a local fair or farmers market to figure out which product sells the best and test out your pricing. Or if youre thinking of writing a book, you might write one chapter of the book first to see if anyone signs up to be notified when the next chapter is released.

I once met a lady who owned a service-based business, and she was working on a training video to promote it. At a meeting, someone asked her if the video was out, and she replied, No, its not ready yet.

I realized that this probably wasnt the first time shed been asked this question. She wanted the video to be perfect and she wanted it to look professional before she released it. What she didnt realize was that the time she spent trying to perfect the video could have been spent getting feedback from clients and learning how to improve it. Its very rare to get something right the first time, which brings us to the next idea that small business owners can implement...

Experiment and Measure

One of the primary steps of the Lean Startup method is to run experiments. This can be applied in marketing or in running your daily business.

The first step is to come up with an assumption, and then run a few low-cost experiments to validate it. By measuring the outcome, youll know if you should run another experiment or whether the product or service is good enough.

Say you want to run a marketing campaign for your janitorial company. Instead of putting all of your money into one big campaign, run several smaller campaigns for a specific time period instead. Measure the results of these experimental marketing campaigns and tweak them as necessary. Rinse and repeat.

The same process would apply if you were a business coach who wanted to develop an instructional course. Before spending months developing the course, think about experimenting. Maybe you could use a web page to collect email addresses. Provide a basic description of the course, and then add something like, Be among the first to take advantage of this opportunity! Sign up to be notified as soon as the course is available! Even better, another approach would be to pre-sell a course before youve even started developing it.

All of these low-cost experiments will allow you to verify the main goal of any business idea, which is Will it work? and Will anyone buy it?

Conclusion

The Lean Startup methodology provides great tools not only for the startup world but for big enterprises and mom-and-pop businesses as well. These steps can be used to reduce risk and help you learn if your idea or product will work in the real world before spending too much effort, time, and money on it.

What are the Pros and Cons of Custom Made Furniture

What are the Pros and Cons of Custom Made Furniture

Want to order custom made furniture but still wracked by niggling doubts? Custom made furniture can be a viable option if you have specific style requirements and are unable to find the exact designs in readymade furniture, but it also comes with its fair share of disadvantages. Take a look through the list of pros and cons of custom made furniture before you make a decision:

Pros

Furniture in your budget, even luxury with custom made furniture the greatest advantage that the buyer accrues is that even the most extravagant designs can be recreated on a small scale for the requirements of the client. This ensures that the client can own the most beautiful luxury furniture for their personal spaces too in their pre-determined budget.
Furniture to fit the layout unlike readymade furniture where the size is pre-made and the client has to make do with whatever is available, in custom made furniture, the client and the furniture designer can work together to find the designs of furniture which optimally fit the layout of the space in which the furniture is to be installed. Small spaces can get the requisite small-scale furniture while oversized furniture can be installed with lan in ample spaces for cosy and amenable interiors.
Customized functionality in custom made furniture, the client can dictate the terms of the functionality of the item to suit their convenience. The required number of drawers and cabinets, the style of the cabinet doors, hidden niches, etc are fitted in accordance with the preferences of the client. Depending on the lifestyle choices of the clients, and where the furniture is to be used (office or residence), the furniture is customized to include every fitting which suits the clients individual use.
Every element is chosen according to the preferences of the client this is what explains custom made furniture best. Each and every element including the shape, style, colour, raw material, upholstery fabric and even the type of stitching to be used is determined by the client. This results in a piece which is made in accordance with the style preferences and desires of the client and also gives the finished look sought by them.
Exclusivity because the piece is made according to the vision of the client, each piece in custom made furniture is unique and exclusively designed for the client. Sometimes the differences may be fairly small, but these small details are what separate one piece of bespoke furniture from the rest.

Cons

Time consuming unlike buying readymade furniture straight from the store, buying custom made furniture can be quite time consuming. This is because the furniture maker will start everything from scratch, including sourcing the raw materials and the creation of the article which in itself takes quite some time before the final product is ready t be delivered to the client.
Finished product may not be the same as what the client visualised With custom made furniture, because the design is being crafted for the first time, oftentimes the finished product might not turn out to be exactly what the client had visualised. While sometimes there might be scope for making adjustments, it might not always be the case and you will need to settle for what has been created for you.
Can end up being quite costly - if the client is not careful and involved in the design process throughout, there are chances that the price of the finished product may go up quite significantly from what was originally planned as the furniture maker may end up using materials which are on the higher end of the price spectrum.
Given the high costs, not easy to change at whim custom made furniture involves fairly significant financial investment, which is why it is not always a feasible option to replace it at a whim. More often than not the price involved makes buyers hold on to the furniture article for a longer time than they would like to, which creates a stagnation in the decor of the space where the furniture is installed.

What Are Post Press Activities

What Are Post Press Activities

Every product need finishing before it is finally completed and is delivered, even if it is printing. In fact, printing remains incomplete until it is properly finished. Printing has been broadly classified into pre press, press and post press. Post press involves the activities that determine the final look of the project. The last phase basically involves four steps, namely cutting, folding, assembling and binding. However, many companies may include many other sub steps, such as trimming, drilling, saddle-stitching, polybagging, shrinking and wrapping of the specifications. Others involve processes like die-cutting, punching, indexing, wire stitching, ultra-violet exposure and plain stitching. Although, all projects are not subject to go through all the given processes, for instance simple folded pamphlets do not require binding.

Post press being the most vital phase of printing, high quality and the most advance technologically programmed machinery is used. Take up programmable cutting machine for instance, it ensures that the paper is cut with precision and accuracy.

The process of finishing the project is very vast. The process adopted depends entirely on the type of project being handled, because there are also lesser finishing processes like perforating, varnishing, drilling, etc. If you consider greeting cards, they might require to be dusted with gold bronze. Similarly, metal as printed products formed into utensils of different sizes and shapes may need to be painted from inside to protect the contents to be stored in it.

Other projects are sometimes subject to the finishing processes like mounting, pasting, laminating and collating. A number of post press operations are exclusively meant for screen printing, like vacuum forming and embossing.

As far as the uses of chemicals are concerned for post press operations, very limited number and volume of chemicals are brought in use. Adhesive chemicals are typically used as a major type of chemical for binding and other assembly operations. Else, the uses of chemicals remain till printing phase only.

The process of post press is also associated with the most vital stage that is, the packaging and distribution. Once the project is assigned with a final look, it is the important that the product is packed and delivered to the destination safely and securely. In this phase printed materials are packed securely into their respective boxes and then they are dispatched to the any given location(s). Until the order is not delivered to its destination safely, post press phase is not said to be completed. Hence, the most secure, reliable and suitable shipment services are used to deliver goods to the location(s).

Weslo Pursuit Bike Reviews

Weslo Pursuit Bike Reviews

Weslo Pursuit exercise bikes are cheap, and I do mean cheap. You can pick one up for as little as $80 and the most you'll ever pay is around $300. But, can a machine this cheap be any good? Well, the truth is that only some models are worth looking at and then only if you're looking for an entry level bike and only plan on using it for light exercise. Here's a review of Weslo Pursuit bikes.

The Weslo Pursuit 2.0 DS bike (WLEX0901) only costs around $80. Quite frankly the bike is simply too cheap to be anything more than a toy - a toddler's bicycle costs more, so would you really expect to get any kind of decent workout from it? But, if you are still interested, the bike has cross-training arms that are designed to work the upper body. The arms can be operated independently of the pedals, so you don't have to use them. Amazingly, it also comes with a small LCD console that displays speed, time, distance, calories burned. Well, that's enough said about this particular machine, except to say that the seat and pedals are very cheap and uncomfortable - most toddler's bikes have better but then again, they costs more and are better built.

It's tough to find nice things to say about the next model up, the Pursuit 4.0 (WLEX1776). I suppose it's cheap, costing around $150. It's an upright model and does look quite nice and inoffensive in its green livery. You get a fairly decent console and a heart rate monitor in the handle bar grips. You also get 4 preset programs and a Target Pacer. The seat and pedals are okay and come with adequate adjustments. But frankly, you should only buy this bike if you plan on using it only occasionally; I can't see it taking any kind of strenuous workout.

If you are going to buy a Weslo upright exercise bike buy the Pursuit E 40 (WLEX1994). For around $300 you get 8 preset programs, an EKG grip pulse sensor and a more robust frame. Again, I'm not sure how long it would last if it was really hammered, but for the casual user it's a perfectly fine piece of fitness equipment.

Thinking of buying a Weslo recumbent exercise bike? Sure? Well, don't even bother looking at either the Pursuit E21 recumbent (WLEX1402) or the Pursuit 6.0 DX (WLEX1304). I can't begin to describe how inadequate these machines are, so I won't.

Instead, let's talk about the Pursuit E 45 or the Pursuit 4.5 R. They both cost around $180 and are the only recumbent models worth considering.

The 6.0 DX comes with a good sized LCD display, EKG grip heart rate monitor and 4 pacer programs. With the 4.5 R you get 6 personal trainer workout programs and an Easy Pulse heart rate monitor. Of the two machines I prefer the 4.5 R, it looks better and I like the overall styling as well as the 6 preset programs.

If you're looking to buy a cheap exercise bike, then by all means consider a Weslo. Just be sure that you avoid the very cheap models and look towards buying the more expensive ones. Also, be sure that the bike is going to be okay for you in the long term; if you really think cycling is going to form a core part of your regular exercise program then maybe you should look at another brand instead.

Weslo Exercise Bike ReviewsWhat You Get And Don't Get

If you already own an exercise bike and are looking to upgrade, or if you are already in shape and are looking for a machine that will take you to the next level, the Weslo isn't for you. But, for someone who's looking for an entry-level, cheap exercise bike, Weslo might be worth looking at. Here are some reviews to help you decide if its machines are right for you.

Weslo bikes range from around $130 to $300, so you'll not be paying much for one of its machines. There are many who'd argue that buying a machine for under $300 is a complete waste of money. The argument goes that when you make something too cheaply you end up with something that simply does not provide any kind of a workout. To some extent they have a point, but many can't afford anything more expensive or can't justify paying more than a few hundred dollars on a piece of exercise equipment. And, Weslo exercise bikes aren't that bad - well, at least some of them aren't that bad.

The cheapest upright is the Weslo Pursuit 2.0 DS bike model WLEX0901 - that retails for less than a hundred dollars. It comes with cross-training arms to help work the upper body during a workout; this is somewhat like the Schwinn AirDyne bike except that it's one-tenth the price. So, what does 80 bucks get you? Well, you get a very, very small console that tracks your speed, time, distance, calories burned and tests your eyesight. The resistance can be manually changed and the arms can be used in and out of conjunction with the pedals.

The seat is a little on the small side and can be become uncomfortable after a little while. The pedals too are little plasticky pedals. In truth, the Pursuit 2.0 DS is just too cheaply built to of any real use in getting you seriously fit; if you're even a little bit serious about doing exercise you should spend a little bit more and look at something else.

The Pursuit 4.0 (WLEX1776) costs twice that of the WLEX0901 and is a conventional upright - there aren't any cross-training arms, thankfully. What can I say that's positive about it? Well, the fly-wheel comes in a casing that's painted a nice shade of green. I'm being a little harsh; you actually do get some decent features with this bike. It comes with a largish console that is easy to read. There's an Easy Pulse heart rate monitor incorporated into the handle bars, a target pacer and you get 4 preset programs. The seat and pedals are also a lot better than the Pursuit 2.0. I would only recommend this machine if you'd never used one before and wanted to buy a bike for occasional use and were planning on only doing very gentle workouts.

The top-of-the-line model is the Pursuit E 40 (WLEX1994). If you do buy a Weslo upright exercise bike this should be the model you choose. It certainly has the best build quality, the best console and the best features of the lot. There are 8 preset programs, EKG grip pulse sensor and even a water bottle holder. This machine would be fine for someone who's never cycled before and wanted a cheap machine as their first time purchase, and wanted to start working out.

You can also buy a Weslo recumbent exercise bike. The cheapest model is the Pursuit E21 recumbent (WLEX1402) retailing at around $130. I'm not even going to waste either my time or yours in telling you why should not buy this machine.

The Pursuit 6.0 DX (WLEX1304) is also a complete waste of time; I can't make up my mind which is the worst of the two, the Pursuit E21 or 6.0 DX - a tough call.

If you must by a recumbent model then buy either the Weslo Pursuit E 45 or the Pursuit 4.5 R bike. Both cost around $180. The 6.0 DX comes with decent sized LCD display, EKG grip heart rate monitor and 4 pacer programs. The 4.5 R comes with 6 personal trainer workout programs and an Easy Pulse heart rate monitor. Of the two machines I prefer the 4.5 R, it looks better and I prefer the overall styling as well as the 6 personal trainer programs.

A Weslo exercise bike is a cheap bike; there's no denying, and I feel that these bikes would only be of any use to entry-level, infrequent users; and even then, only some of the bikes would fit for purpose.

Weight Loss - Not by Magic But With Efforts

Weight Loss - Not by Magic But With Efforts

Loosing weight is catching up as an integral part of one's health and fitness routine due to increased obesity and weight gain syndrome in metros and urban establishments. Opposite of popular believe that is generally considered weight loss does not require any tough exercises schedules or any strict dietary practice with starving like situation, instead, it is simultaneous exercise on your part putting small efforts for the instant, however, patient weight loss results.

The primary reason for obesity is considered regular intake of extra calories which our body fails to consume due to lack of exercise or physical activities in normal course of our routine life. At any cost your weight loss not going to be miracle bringing instant result, for weight loss one has to keep patience as it is a matter of time, he would feel him to be lighter. Our body responds slowly to any change taken over in our diet or physical workout in order to reduce weight. Thus a weight loss program should involve slow changes in day to day pattern of life leading to a good amount of weight loss in the end.

One can plan his weight loss program in following manner:

Balancing Diet -The body utilizes necessary food for energy as in calories and store extra calories in form of fat. To loose weight one does not need to start strict diet plan leading to starving like situation instead should reduce the intake of calories, planning his/ her diet. The daily diet is to be adjusted accordingly to one's height, body mass and nature of the job. Person involved in physical work require more calories in comparison to one who is doing official job.

Do Not Stick to Strict Exercise Schedule -There is no need to start a very strict exercise schedule pushing you to four miles long run daily as it would result in fatigue and tiredness and would make you weak. Increase your exercise schedule slowly starting from slow walk to 15 minutes brisk walking and short warm up and cool down session. Rigorous pattern you can add up later on when you trained enough to take the task.

Improvising Daily Routine - Apart from exercise and diet, there are certain changes in routine activities, which can be picked up as schedule to weight loss. Like using stairs instead of lift, exercise between office hours, indulging in sporting activities like running, swimming, cycling, tennis etc.

This way following above discussed measures, you can have a good control of fat and would have a reasonable weight loss to overall body mass.

Finally, do not try to skip meals from your daily diet as skipping meal leads to reduce your calorie intake at that time but makes you hungrier later on. Irregular habits of eating can also lead to disrupt the digestive system and does not help in loosing weight in the first instance. So keep a check on your meals and calorie intake and follow a regular exercise pattern to loose weight.

Ways To Keep Your Feet Happy When Working Out

How important are shoes for your indoor or outdoor activity? We tend to be concerned about getting fit but do not realize that shoes are the mainstay in any sporting activity. One common thing that we tend to overlook is choosing the wrong shoe for their feet or for their workout routine. Not many know this but there are particular types of shoes to suit the specific form of exercise, from running, walking, hiking to working out at the gym.

Source : Pixabay, 2016

Why should you have the correct shoes for your workout?

When it comes to fitness training and sports, do not undervalue the important role your feet play in maintaining stability, speed, and performance. Your feet are the very basis of your exercise because the impact when your feet touches the ground is absorbed from your feet to your legs, and travels all the way to your spine. Finding the correct shoe is important in helping you avoid injury and discomfort while enhancing your performance.

Avoid injuries and discomfort

Choosing the right shoe for your fitness activity is essential because it can protect you against common injury, both in and out of the gym. With the right type of shoe, you can avoid getting sprains, blisters, corns, calluses, heel pain, or even as far as breaking your ankle. According to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, failure to wear the right footwear could cause and worsen Metatarsalgia, a condition which is characterized by searing pain within the ball and socket joints of the ankle.

Boost your performance

Another reason why you should choose the correct sports shoe is to boost performance. Each type of sports shoe is determined by what the wearer frequently does during his or her workout routine. The American Orthopedic and Ankle Society suggests that the type of shoe you should wear depends on the sport or routine you are most active in e.g. football players should wear spiked shoes, volleyball players should wear volleyball shoes, etc. These shoes are specifically made to enhance your capacity and create a better range of movement that would suit your sport or routine.

How to choose the correct fitness footwear?

Source : pexels.com

There are many factors to consider when choosing the correct fitness footwear. For some, it is either the pair is on sale, or it has an awesome colorway or color combination. But the most important thing that you should look for in your footwear is performance. When choosing the perfect pair, always consider the right fit (how your feet feels wearing it), the type of fitness activity you are doing, and your feet type.

Running shoes vs cross-training vs strength training

One of the main factors that you should consider when choosing the right shoe is the type of workout or sports that you are into. If you are performing that specific routine at least two or three times a week, then choose the corresponding shoe that would be perfect for that specific workout. There are generally three types of sports shoes that you would encounter: (1) running shoes, (2) cross training, and (3) strength training shoes.

Running shoes

If you love to hit the treadmill, walk, run or jog, then a running shoe is the right type of shoe for you. Running, walking, and jogging are considered as one of the simplest forms of exercise, therefore there is technically no best shoe that you can wear, however, there are some shoes designed for that specific purpose. Most running shoes today are engineered for optimum heel-to-toe motion and cushioning for improved performance.

Cross training

If you are into aerobics, CrossFit, kickboxing, weight training, or anything that requires side to side movement, then cross training shoes would definitely suit your workout. These type of shoes are more versatile, supportive, and very durable. Due to rigorous lateral movement, cross training shoes are made with thicker and heavier soles than walking or running shoes. However, there are some designs with lightweight features.

Strength training

If you are keen on weightlifting, deadlifting, squats, bench and shoulder presses, then a strength training shoe would be perfect for your routine. The key to this type of sports shoe is in the heel since strength training contracts muscles as a form of resistance. Lifting shoes are non-compressible, does not have cushioning and has little to no heel, it does, however, have support for traction and stability of a flatter shoe. In addition, strength training shoes are lighter and provides better mobility under duress.

Knowing your foot type

Another thing that you should consider when choosing the perfect shoes for your workout is knowing your foot type. You can consult a podiatrist or simply look at your soles wear patterns. These patterns determine the type of pronations or the inward rolling of your feet when you walk. Generally, there are three types of pronations: (1) supination, (2) neutral pronation, and (3) overpronation.

Supinator

If you find that the top outer edge of your sole has worn out, then you are a supinator. A supinator tends to have higher arches and your feet rolls outwards. What you need is a shoe with cushioning for better shock absorption.

Neutral

Your foot has neutral pronation if your soles are evenly worn out. This type of pronation is characterized as the optimum motion when running or walking. For premium performance, you should wear a shoe with stability, and moderate cushioning and support.

Overpronator

If the top inner edge of your soles is worn out, then you are an overpronation. Overpronation is characterized by your feets immense inward rolling which is mostly experienced by flat-footed individuals. What you need is a motion control and high-stability shoe which helps align your feet better with your legs.

With technology, fitness shoes no longer need a break-in period. But no matter how much you love that pair of shoes which has been with you since your college days or that perfect color pair your mum gave you when you were in your teens, it is advisable to replace your shoes regularly. They tend to wear out, especially with constant wear and tear. Once they are no longer absorbing the pounding and jarring action by your feet, you are more likely to sustain knee and ankle injuries.

And just because a friend tells you that certain shoes are great, it does not mean that they are right for you. Keep in mind what fitness activity you are in, do a quick search on reputable sites like iprice, to check the various types of shoes available and dont forget to try out several pairs to gauge the kind of support and cushioning of the shoes. Then, you and your feet are all ready to go!

Warning Signs of Blood Clots in the Body

Warning Signs of Blood Clots in the Body

Blood clotting is a necessary process that in certain instances prevent the body from losing too much blood. When you get a paper cut or a minor injury, a blood clot stops the bleeding and falls apart. However, sometimes blood clots may form in veins and arteries and dont always dissolve on their own. These can be dangerous and potentially life-threatening.

Knowing the warning signs of blood clots will help you get quick medical treatment and avoid fatal complications.

Limbs. When a blood clot forms in veins, it is known as venous thromboembolism. Blood clots form in the deep veins of the body that carry blood back to the heart; most commonly lower legs and arms, and can travel to the heart or lungs. The symptoms may develop gradually or not manifest at all. Usually, they include:

Pain, which can range from a dull sensation to intense
Swelling, either in the exact spot of the clot formation or of the entire limb
A warm sensation
Tenderness
Pale or bluish discoloration
Pain in the calf when stretching toes upward
Trouble breathing, if the clot has detached and moved to lungs.

Symptoms usually depend on the clot size. This is why you may not experience any symptoms or have just minor swelling without pain. The larger the clot is, the larger the area of swelling (up to entire limb) and the more severe pain youll have. It is noteworthy that clots seldom form in both limbs at the same time. Therefore, the chances of having a clot increase if the symptoms are localized to one limb.

Lungs. When a blood clot travels to lungs pulmonary embolism the symptoms may include:

Chest pain
Shortness of breath or breathing problems
Palpitations
Sweating
Feeling dizzy or lightheaded
Coughing up blood.

Heart. Although seldom, a blood clot may form in or around the heart and cause a heart attack. The warning signs are:

Sudden and severe chest pain that may radiate to arms
Excessive sweating
Trouble breathing
Shortness of breath.

Abdomen. The blood clots in the abdomen usually develop due to liver disease, diverticulitis, and administration of birth control pills. If a clot forms in the veins that drain blood from the intestines, there could develop symptoms which usually resemble those of a stomach virus or food poisoning:

Severe abdominal pain, which may worsen after meals
Nausea and vomiting
Diarrhea
Bloating
Bloody stools.

Kidneys. If a clot forms in the kidneys, it can prevent them from removing toxins and wastes from the bloodstream and lead to kidney failure.  The warning signs can be:

Flank pain, pain in the side of the belly or in the lower back, legs, and thighs
Fever
Severe leg swelling
High blood pressure
Bloody urine
Low urine output
Trouble breathing
Nausea and vomiting.

Brain. A blood clot in the brain may develop due to plaques in the walls of the vessels that supply blood to the brain. The symptoms can be:

Severe headache
Difficulty speaking or seeing
General weakness
Seizure.

Blood clots in the brain may result from a blow to the head and consequent concussion.  Or it may result from a clot that broke free from the other parts of the body and traveled in the bloodstream to the brain, causing a stroke.

When clotting takes places in the arteries, it is known as arterial thrombosis. This is extremely dangerous as clots obstruct the blood flow to vital organs. Most often arterial thrombosis affects older people and results in myocardial infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, and peripheral arterial disease.

Even though symptoms of blood clots often resemble the symptoms of other diseases, if you develop any of the above-mentioned signs, contact your GP promptly.  Remember that blood clots are treatable when spotted in time.

VRX - The New Antiviral

VRX - The

Viruses are the simplest, the tiniest of all microbes, about 10,000 times smaller than bacteria. Once inside the body, the virus inserts its genetic material into the cells DNA, and start multiplying, or simply lies asleep.

Like flu, the herpes virus is highly contagious. About two thirds of world population are infected with herpes virus, which means 2 out of 3 has the virus. Both types of viruses are easily transmissible from human-to-human as a result of close contact. Once you're infected, you stuck with the virus for life.

The horror of any type of virus lies in its resistance to any medication and the tendency to mutate and erupt again and again. When it comes to treatment every doctor reminds you the same thing: there is no cure for virus. And its true, all virus related diseases are at best suppressed, but never cured.

Not anymore, the new VRX remedy is a breakthrough homeopathic formula that works on three types of viruses: herpes, flu and colds. What makes VRX so effective is its ability to destroy the etheric body of any virus. Everything that is alive has an etheric body, it's that bio-energetic field that keeps alive every biological system (humans, plants, animals). It's like electricity that feeds your computer or your TV, if you unplug they are instantly dead.

VRX ability to destroy the bio-field of the virus, makes it impossible for the virus to survive, or to create remedy resistance by mutating. That makes VRX non-specific, not limited to only one type of virus having the potential to kill any type of virus.

The remedy was first tested on a very aggressive form of influenza virus and it worked like nothing I have seen before: fast and really smooth. The ER doctors didnt know what kind of virus was, or dint want to scare the patient, and sent her home. Because she happened to have cold-sores eruption at that time, which disappeared during the treatment with VRX, the remedy was further tested on herpes virus.

For flu and colds, no matter how aggressive the virus is, it simply doesnt matter, one round of VRX treatment is enough. In fact, the worst the symptoms, the better VRX works. For herpes virus more rounds are needed. Why? Because the virus has to be active during the treatment, not dormant.

How does it feel to have a remedy that you can take when you have a cold, a flu, cold-sores, shingles or mono. Just one remedy. A remedy that has no side effects, a remedy that doesnt interfere with your daily medication This is VRX.

After four days of using VRX, my husband's shingles condition is so much improved. Less itching, better sleep at night and the number of blisters decreased considerable. Most blisters dried out and only a few remained active, but without bleeding. Its amazing to see all this in just four days of treatment, after years of trying everything. Thank you so much

Various Dimensions for Home Gym Design

Various Dimensions for Home Gym Design

Designing a home gym is more than simply trying to think of what equipment you'll want to get. You have to consider the size of the room, it's placement in the house, and then work your equipment around these parameters. Knowing the room dimensions of your home gym gives you a more accurate assessment of what you can do with it. Here are a few of the common dimensions of home gyms based on the types of rooms people usually convert into an exercise room, and some ideas for what you can do with them.

Primary Considerations - most people will at least take into account the floor space available when determining the room dimensions for their home gyms. However, you also have to take into account three other factors that help determine the room's usability: One, consider the ceiling clearance. If you get equipment that's too tall for your room, you're in trouble. Two, consider the entry way of the room. Buying a piece of equipment that won't even fit through the door of your gym room is a quick way to guarantee a headache. Three, look at the general shape of the room. This is generally where it gets tricky, and the entries below deal with some of the more difficult types encountered aside from the "average" room.

Small Rooms - generally small, apartment room sized places, these are square in size and can be walked across in a few quick paces. At best you'll be able to fit ONE jungle gym unit here, given the room dimensions of this type of home gym, though for the sake of convenience it's actually a better idea to stick to light, hand carryable equipment like push up bars, sit up mats, and dumbells. Avoid barbells which might require large weight racks, as this will take up too much space and can cause injury if the rack spills, as the small size of the room almost guarantees the heavy plates will fall on someone...

Expansive Rooms - this is not a problem. These are large square or rectangular rooms with lots of space. Allocating equipment based on the room dimensions of this type of home gym is pretty easy. Place your equipment in areas by segments. For example, a treadmill in one corner, a jungle gym in another, a punching bag in a third, etc. I'd recommend leaving the center of the room open with some mats for calisthenics and other exercises, and having one wall free of equipment and housing full length mirrors.

Basement Gyms - these gyms are converted from basements, and the dimensions of this type of home gym are usually "large" types too. However, two considerations must be taken regarding dimensions of basement rooms. One is that their entry points are marked by stairs. Avoid placing equipment near the stairs, as gym gear is often marked by the presence of a lot of heavy metal. People tripping down the stairs will suffer serious injury if they land on a barbell weight rack, for example. The second consideration is ventilation. Basements are underground, so there won't be any windows. Use artificial air cyclers like an AC or basement dehumidifier with air temperature settings to keep air cycling fresh in the room.

Hallway Type Gyms - some people use portions of their house more akin to long, narrow hallways than actual rooms. The dimensions of this type of gym room are usually just wide enough for two people to walk comfortably abreast, and are long enough for a brief sprint. If this is your type of room, any sort of weights training equipment is off the list. Matting the room and using it for calisthenic exercises is the best idea, and if the length of the room is enough, you can practise brief sprints across it. For martial artists and fencers, this is an ideal specialized type of sparring room where lunging and retreating sparring can be practised exclusively as both fighters will be unable to use flanking and sidestepping techniques.

Odd Shaped Rooms - if your room dimensions for your planned home gym are irregular, with nooks and crannies where closets used to be and such, then plan your gym according to the average floor space of the main area itself. The smaller cubbyholes can be used for storing equipment like barbell racks, lockers for clothing, wate coolers, and the like, but restrict your plans for the main gym equipment to the floor and ceiling space of the main center of the room.

Garage Gyms - lastly, some people use their garage as a home gym. The dimensions of this type may seem roomy at first, but you have to consider that the garage will have other things occupying it, not the least of which will be the family car and any home improvement type work benches and their corresponding power tool racks. Take all of the extra items that will be in the garage into account before picking up any equipment. After all, you really don't want to be pumping iron less than 5 feet away from your sedan...
